The Burial of the Sardine

The Burial of the Sardine and the Burning of the Haragán mark the end of the carnival with a farewell full of tradition and symbolism. With the participation of CEIP Tigaday, the funeral procession moves through the streets from Plaza del Lagar (Merese) to Plaza Benito Padrón Gutiérrez, where the burning takes place, symbolizing the farewell to the festivities. The event concludes with a sardinada, bringing the community together in a festive and convivial atmosphere.
