San Lorenzo and Candelaria Festivities

The Golfo Valley Festivities are the most prominent celebrations in the area, bringing its towns to life with tradition throughout the month of August. They begin with the Subida de San Salvador and continue with the festivities of San Lorenzo (August 10) and Candelaria (August 15), the patron saint of the valley. Neighborhoods such as Amador, Belgara, Los Llanillos, and Merese also hold their own festivities, in a month devoted to devotion, culture, and local traditions.
