Quiet beach with a seaside atmosphere
Vueltas Beach is in a semi-urban area of Valle Gran Rey, on the southwestern coast of La Gomera, and next to the port with the same name. Its dark, volcanic sand and the lack of waves, as the sea is sheltered by a breakwater here, make it perfect for a peaceful swim. Walks along the seashore are also very pleasant, breathing the sea breeze or shopping at any of the nearby shops. The fishing boats resting on the sand lend a really delightful seaside atmosphere to the beach.
Recommendable for families
Vueltas Beach is sheltered and has no strong currents, guaranteeing the safety of the little ones at all times and making it highly recommendable for families and for anyone who wants to take a dip in calm seas. It is easy to access with a parking area and showers where you can wash away the sand and freshen up as you leave the beach. There are also restaurants nearby, perfect for trying some of the typical Canary Islands gastronomy. The special charm of this coastal area makes Vueltas Beach a highly singular beach that is worth a visit.
