Long glides over the bay of El Confital

The laminar wind, ranging from light to moderate in Las Coloradas, in the northwest of the island of Gran Canaria make it a privileged place for the enjoyment of spectacular evenings from the air, with the added extra of being able to carry out top landings easily. The flights, which can last for hours and hours, make it possible to contemplate beautiful views over the bay of El Confital, Las Canteras beach and even the mountains of Gáldar, if you are lucky and the weather is good.

Area exclusively for teaching paragliding

The flying area, at an altitude of 60 metres, is next to the viewpoint of Las Coloradas, in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the capital of the island. Together with Los Giles, it can be considered an area dedicated to the teaching and the mastery of paragliding and hang gliding. The excellent face of the mountainside, along with the winds which usually blow, make it an ideal and quite a safe spot, as much for expert pilots as well as those who are starting off.

- Nunca dejes residuos de ningún tipo en el entorno, incluidas las colillas. Los restos de comida contribuyen a la proliferación de roedores y gatos asilvestrados que suponen una grave amenaza para la fauna.
- Respeta a los animales, no los molestes ni los alimentes. Si ves algún ejemplar herido, puedes avisar en el teléfono de emergencias 112. Tampoco arranques flores o plantas.
- No recojas ni te lleves piedras o cualquier otro elemento del medio natural. Tampoco lo modifiques amontonándolas para realizar las tristemente famosas “torres”.
- No practiques actividades deportivas fuera de las áreas permitidas.
