An old refurbished sugar-producing farm in Tazacorte
This old 17th century sugar-producing farm was reinvented as a temple of refinement in Tazacorte, in the west of La Palma. Much more than a hotel, La Hacienda de Abajo is a noble mansion that is brimming with art but that also boasts state-of-the-art technology. The motto of the house – attention to detail and hospitality – can be seen in every room. Guests will love this tastefully decorated and historically valuable hotel.
Relaxation for adults surrounded by works of art, tapestries and pieces of porcelain
La Hacienda de Abajo is a hotel, a museum and a garden, all in one. Behind its gates you'll find a refined hotel exclusively for adults. Four traditional mansions are built around a garden full of exotic plants, in the middle of banana plantations. The impossibly elegant restaurant offers a menu that includes dishes made with bananas, the local fruit. Although you might find it hard to leave the room (the beds are basically works of art), there are guided tours to see the valuable collection of tapestries and oriental porcelain, and a swimming pool in the centre of the courtyard.
