The Miser by Molière

Atalaya presents “El Avaro” (The Miser) by Molière for the first time, delving into the universe of the renowned French playwright. In commemoration of the fourth centenary of his birth and the 350th anniversary of his death, Atalaya, winner of the 2008 National Theatre Award, explores Molière’s profound critique of Bourgeois hypocrisy and the worst of high society through comedy and tragicomedy. Part of the company’s career of almost 40 years, this incursion is one of its greatest projects, presented as a musical with eight actors on stage.
