Verses, Volcanoes and Wind is an international poetry festival that transforms Lanzarote into a place where the spoken word finds its space. Over three days, poets from across the Canary Islands and mainland Spain share their voices and visions in a gathering that bridges art, nature, and emotion. The participation of renowned figures such as Yolanda Castaño, winner of the 2023 National Poetry Prize, underscores the festival’s commitment to literary excellence and creative diversity. Directed by Mercedes Minguella and organized by the Masintafe Association in collaboration with the Insular Library of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, this festival stands as a key cultural event, where poetry is celebrated as a form of beauty, resilience, and healing.
