Youkali

The Teatro Pérez Galdós presents Youkali, an evocative performance of the music by the innovative German composer Kurt Weill, performed by the Orquesta Sinfónica del Atlántico. This event is set in an atemporal cabaret of the interwar period, taking its name from one of Weill’s most emblematic songs, Youkali, a utopian place where dreams are hidden. The performance will feature a parade of nocturnal characters in search of refuge, attempting to forget the sorrows of life amidst gilded miseries, flashes of beauty, and love emerging from the rubble.
