The Teatro Alfredo Kraus presents a concert that explores the richness and depth of the Baroque, bringing together works by Bach, Pergolesi, and Vivaldi in a program of great beauty. The evening features J.S. Bach’s adaptation of Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, transforming it into Tilge, Höchste, meine Sünden, with a new text based on Psalm 51. Also included is Antonio Vivaldi’s Stabat Mater, one of the masterpieces of Italian Baroque, composed on commission for Holy Week in Brescia. The program is completed with the majestic Orchestral Suite No. 2 for flute and orchestra by Bach, offering a dialogue between three great masters that immerses the audience in a journey of emotion and transcendence.
