Tagoror de Música Contemporánea

The Contemporary Music Festival of the Canary Islands presents in Gran Canaria the Tagoror de Música Contemporánea, an event inspired by the Guanche concept of tagoror, which referred to assembly meetings on the island of Tenerife. In its third edition, the festival organizes this gathering as a forum to discuss relevant issues concerning contemporary musical life, its spaces, and circuits. The discussion will feature prominent figures from composition, both from the Canary Islands and the rest of Spain, as well as key individuals involved in the dissemination of contemporary music through festivals, associations, and sound recordings. The aim is to foster new creative alliances both within and outside the Canary Islands. The event will be curated and moderated by José L. Besada.
