La Verbena de la Paloma

The Teatro Pérez Galdós presents "La Verbena de La Paloma," the zarzuela masterpiece that celebrates the Madrid popular festival of August 15 with its unmatched blend of humor, romance, and jealousy. Written by Ricardo de la Vega and composer Tomás Bretón, this zarzuela, which premiered in 1894, has become one of the gems of Spanish lyrical theater. The performance will be carried out by the Orquesta Sinfónica de Las Palmas under the direction of Rafael Sánchez Araña.
