"“Irakere 50”” is a tribute by pianist and composer Chucho Valdés to the band that revolutionized Latin jazz with its exceptional blend of Afro-Cuban ritual music, Cuban popular music, jazz, rock and classical music.

With 17 Grammy Awards to his credit, Chucho Valdés celebrates 50 years of this iconic formation, accompanied by the musicians of his quartet and a select group of outstanding Cuban musicians.

This event marks the first of four dates organized by the Auditorium and Theater Foundation in collaboration with the 33rd edition of the Canarias Jazz y Más International Festival.”"
