Playa Argaga

A quiet beach

The Playa Argaga beach is made up of pebbles and black volcanic sand. Its dimensions are 350 metres by 30 metres. Located on the border that separates the municipalities of Vallehermoso from Valle del Gran Rey, this spot is also adjacent to Puerto de Vueltas, a multipurpose port that is used for sporting events as well as for fishing and other commercial purposes.

A naturist beach

With low visitor numbers, even on summer days, this beach is a favourite for naturists. Access is available either on foot or by car. To get there on foot it’s best to start walking from Puerto de Vueltas.

Sustainability

- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants from the environment.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Do not use soap or gel in the showers located at the entrance to the beach.
- Try to use ocean- friendly sun creams.
- Pets are prohibited at most beaches. Make sure you can take them beforehand.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.) or activities that might be bothersome, such as ball games.
