Stay in a banana plantation

It's in the middle of the countryside but has a seaview. To find this hotel you have to go down minor roads to Alcalá, a small town on the south coast of Tenerife, and there is a sign that tells you to turn right. Despite its name, Hotel Rural El Navío ("The Ship") is surrounded by banana plantations, fresh air, beautiful small coves, relaxation and peace and quiet that is only disturbed by the goats bleating and the chickens clucking on the farm.

The sunlight floods each one of the 11 rooms, which are divided like typical terraced country houses, with balconies from where guests can enjoy the sunset and a splendid view of La Gomera. You can walk through the courtyards lined with flower pots, enjoy a delicious breakfast on the terrace or walk down the path to the beach. Everything flows naturally here and there are sweet gestures like always having tasty bananas in the entrance for guests to enjoy. What a treat!
