Vineyards with more than 500 years of tradition
Teneguía Winery has been making wines in Fuencaliente in the south of La Palma for over 60 years. It produces wines using the harvest from local vineyards; the grapes having been grown in a young volcanic soil between the sea and the summit. This is the same zone where the Teneguía volcano erupted in 1971, the second most recent in Canarian history. The winery offers guided visits, and has a restaurant and a show room as well as activities combining wine and stargazing.
Wines with a short harvest and a long-standing pedigree
Easy to get to by car and bus and with a large parking area, Teneguía Winery produces white, red and rose wines with a variety of grapes - Malvasia, Sabro, Gual, Listán, Bujariego, Negramoll And Baboso. Their high-quality sweet Malvasia wines are made with short harvest crops and using artisan methods. Teneguía Winery also has its own shop to buy the wines sold under the La Palma Designation of Origin as well as local salts from Fuencaliente.
