Boutique wines amongst Canarian oranges and coffee
Located at the foot of the Tamadaba cliffs in the foothills of the Agaete Valley in northwest Gran Canaria, Bodegas Los Berrazales produces its wines on the La Laja farm also known for its orange and coffee plantations. Here the Lugo-Jorge family run a winery based on the traditional cultivation of the local lístan negro grape. They make red, rosé and white wines both dry and semi sec.
Guided winery and wine shop tours
Bodega Los Berrazales offers educational tours of its winery all day Monday to Friday and at weekends with prior booking. On the guided tours you learn about wine production, as well as orange and coffee cultivation on the La Laja farm. You can also buy the house wines in bottles with labels designed by noted Gran Canaria artist Pepe Dámaso.
