This month,
we recommend…
of the year
Not everyone can boast that they\’ve been swimming in the sea during the Christmas holidays, but here, you can. Treat yourself to beaches lapped by turquoise waters and start the year revitalised.
A New Year's dip on 1 January is a Canary Island tradition in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a popular event held every year that starts with a good swim.
International
Music Festival
Come and enjoy Europe\’s first music festival every January and February. For more than 30 years, this festival has been an international benchmark, featuring classical music performed by orchestras from all over the world.
You can also experience the event in some of the islands\’ most symbolic, unique buildings: the Alfredo Kraus Auditorium, in Gran Canaria, and the Adán Martín Auditorium in Tenerife (the latter of which was designed by Santiago Calatrava).
Recharge
your batteries
After so many Christmas lunches and dinners, it\’s time to stop overdoing it and recharge your batteries. That\’s why the seven islands offer a great variety of spectacular natural scenery. Volcanoes, wonderful beaches, natural swimming pools, ancient forests, national parks, crystal clear waters and a clear sky, protected for year-round stargazing, even during the winter holidays.
