Plaza de La Glorieta

A courtyard of artwork
This plaza or lookout point was designed by the versatile artist and La Palma native Luis Morera. Located in the Las Manchas neighbourhood, it is shared by the El Paso and Los Llanos de Aridane municipalities. Its exquisite mosaic work strikingly integrates pergolas, benches overlaid with pieces of ceramic tile, a lava stone stage, and planters brimming with flora native to the Canary Islands.
Canarian flora sculptures
The plaza was recently completed by a vertical garden, a visual adaptation to its original design. The plaza’s mosaics and sculptures primarily represent native fauna and flora. There is a stage with performances, and among the activities offered, you can take a free guided tour. The Viticulture Museum is nearby, so you can wrap up your visit with a tasting of La Palma’s unique and highly regarded wine.
