A tribute to the shepherds of the islands

Located in the center of the Plaza de la Paz, this sculpture represents a tribute to the Shepherd’s Leap, a creation of the Cantabrian sculptor Pereda de Castro, who spent part of his life on the islands. The monument represents a widespread and representative technique among the shepherds of the area, who move through the rugged terrain of the Canary Islands with the help of a spear.
