Betancuria

This trail starts in Betancuria on Fuerteventura’s western part. The route begins with an ascent that leads to the top of a mountain and then continues for a while before descending to Peñitas Dam. This is like passing through an exotic hidden palm tree valley. Running through this oasis, the landscape takes a radical change from dirt tracks to rounded rocks and rock faces.

Reaching the end of the oasis, running over these rocks the remaining trails are easy and on wide open rocky trails, not too complicated or technical. The route ends with a descent down to Palmeral del Barranco de Buen Paso.
