The Jesús Arencibia Cultural and Community Activities Center presents La Reina Brava, a powerful tragicomedy by Las Niñas de Cádiz. Inspired by classical drama and the traditional Spanish romancero, the play tells the story of the assassination of a queen hated by all but feared by many. Only a mother, driven by a thirst for revenge, dares to break all the rules and kill the woman who destroyed her daughter’s life. From there unfolds a tale of lies, scandal, and a shameful condemnation to oblivion. With Shakespearean undertones and the company’s signature irreverence, The Brave Queen delivers a bold reinterpretation of classic tragic narratives.
