Festival Corsario

The capital of La Palma is preparing to revive one of its most attractive historical and cultural initiatives in the municipality—the Corsair Day celebration—, the eighth edition of which will take place on 4 August. With this dramatised recreation carried out by the Day of the Corsair Cultural Association, the streets and squares of Santa Cruz de La Palma will host one of the best-known episodes in La Palma history: the attack by the famous French corsair François Le Clerc on Santa Cruz de La Palma in 1553, whose defence was directed by Baltasar Martín from La Palma.
