The best dive site in Gran Canaria

The El Cabron shore is a diving hotspot on the east coast of Gran Canaria. With highly variable features and rich biodiversity it takes more than one dive to appreciate El Cabrón. The coast consists of a wide rock platform dropping off gently to a depth of nine metres, a shelf full of crevices and a sandy bottom at 23 metres. The range of habitats and richness of life here is spectacular.

Diving to caves, shelves and sandy bottoms in Arinaga waters

The Arco Chico, Los Roncadores and Punta de la Sal are three of the 10 dives available at El Cabrón. Many are reached from the El Cabrón beach just a kilometre from Arinaga town. Experience and conditions determine the dives that are recommended on a specific day but they can include visits to caves full of croakers, squat lobsters and glasseyes; cliffs surrounded by schools of barracudas and jacks, and a sandy bottom frequented by schools of grunts, stingrays and even eagle rays.
