Las Cabras Beach

One of the great unknowns
Considered one of the great unknowns on the island, Las Cabras beach is a cove located in the municipality of Fuencaliente. It’s about 40 metres long and 20 metres wide. The dark sand and moderate waves make it into an eye-grabbing spot. Access to the area isn’t easy. Partly for this reason, visitor numbers are low even during high season.
A car park for 50 cars
You can get to Las Cabras beach on foot or by car, but unfortunately no bus service is available. To arrive, it’s best to take the LP-207 road. On site there’s parking for 50 cars. Visitors should note that because there are no facilities available, you’re advised to bring your own food.

Sustainability
Sostenibilidad
- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants from the environment.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Do not use soap or gel in the showers located at the entrance to the beach.
- Try to use ocean- friendly sun creams.
- Pets are prohibited at most beaches. Make sure you can take them beforehand.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.) or activities that might be bothersome, such as ball games.
