In the south of the island of Tenerife, next to the sea and just minutes from the Reina Sofia Airport is the Amarilla Golf & Country Club. Designed by Donald Steel and opened in 1998, it is an 18-hole par-71 course by the sea. The pitch & putt nine-hole course is ideal for perfecting your short game or for first-time golfers as no licence is required to play.

Amarilla Golf & Country Club has wonderful views of the majestic Mount Teide and the exclusive San Miguel Marina. The course is a challenge for both the experienced player and for those with a higher handicap as its narrow fairways require accurate shots. The best part is undoubtedly the 5th hole, a par-3 masterpiece of design using the sea as the fairway, forcing the ball to fly across the ocean to reach the green. Unforgettable.
