Patalavaca Beach

Two beaches in one

Playa Patalacava is located in the municipality of Mogán, in the south of Gran Canaria. It’s special because it’s actually made up of two beaches which become one once the tide goes out. The water in the area is crystal clear. Nearby you’ll also find restaurants and a supermarket to stock up on supplies.

Unique sunsets

One of the unique features of this beach are the sunsets that can be seen from the sandy shore. There is a Beach Club, so you can enjoy a drink while saying goodbye to the day. In addition, Playa Patalacava has showers and access for people with reduced mobility as well as a rental service for umbrellas.

Sustainability
Sostenibilidad
- Never leave waste of any type lying around, including cigarette butts. Leftover food leads to a proliferation of rats and wild cats.
- Do not throw any waste or other objects into the sea.
- Respect the animals. Do not bother them or feed them. If you see an injured specimen, you can call the emergency number: 112. Do not pick flowers or plants from the environment.
- Do not pick up or take away stones or any other item from the natural environment. And do not move them to pile them up into sadly famous 'towers'.
- Do not use soap or gel in the showers located at the entrance to the beach.
- Try to use ocean- friendly sun creams.
- Pets are prohibited at most beaches. Make sure you can take them beforehand.
- Try not to alter the peace of the environment with excessive noise (loud music, yelling, etc.) or activities that might be bothersome, such as ball games.
