Fantastic flights over banana groves

La Palma is a real paradise for paragliding and one of the main flying areas is located in the municipality of Puntallana. In the northeast of the island, just 10 kilometres from its capital, Santa Cruz de La Palma, it is possible to enjoy great flights with fabulous views, from the sea to the summit which uncover an essentially green landscape, full of palm trees, banana groves and crop lands which look even more beautiful from the air.

Top landing and landing on Nogales beach

The take off point is in Puntallana, with north-northeast winds and at a height of 430 metres, while the landing at 240 metres takes place in the fields next to the road. With a north wind, this area becomes rather turbulent although by taking the right precautions, it is possible to make a top landing and land on the mountain itself. Another nearby landing area is Nogales beach, with its fine black sand, and one of the most beautiful on the island.

Sustainability

- No practiques actividades deportivas fuera de las áreas permitidas.
